Program Subscriptions
Software programs are the invisible wheel that allows us to navigate the computer easily. Using programs, we don’t have to write code for every sentence, format, image, video, web search, placement, link, etc.
For the ease of access, you probably pay for the versatility with annual/quarterly/monthly subscriptions.
Some common examples are:
For each of these items, there is likely to be a login code (possibly a nickname or email), a password, security questions/answers, and multi-step verification.
Likewise, each program stores a credit card number for renewal in your profile.
If you are not around to access your computer:
1) Someone else will need to know how to get into your computer (see our 'Devices' sector below)
2) That person will need to remove your program profile (username, personal details, email, and credit card)
3) Erasing your personal and financial details and erasing your account will end the subscription and eliminate a financial trail.
In this day and age of AI searches, everything we do online is tracked.
You might want to consider that all of the following sites will store some portion of your personal id – possibly as little as your email address or as much as your email and legal address, credit card information, etc.
Prioritize closing down any site that might ask for a credit card or bank account access that involves a fee or purchase payment.
If you are a student or take online courses, you may access additional websites to find information – research information or school information. Some information will be required to register for a class.
If you are looking for your next job, you may be required to apply on a company website to submit your resume. Or you may visit job posting sites (Indeed, Zip Recruiter, Glassdoor, etc.).
If you are a collector, you might visit specialty sites that request login information.
And don’t forget, shopping sites (Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Land’s End, Lululemon, Nike, etc.)
Or, the food deliveries – GrubHub, Doordash, Uber Eats, or local restaurants, wine/liquor stores, etc.
Transportation sites – E-Z Pass, Amtrak, Local Rail, Bus, or Subway sites, Airlines, Parking, Gas Finder sites, etc.
Community groups – Churches, Synagogues, Mosques, Community Centers, Libraries, etc.
Misc. others – Local Pharmacies & Food Markets

HOW MUCH will be withdrawn?
Remember to take one step at a time. Just one step...
Close software programs/sites that request financial information first.
Find out if any refunds are available, and turn off any renewal information before closing the account entirely. (Click below for more on Subscriptions)
Then tackle those sites that only ask for personal information. Close down links to personal information – erase personal profile and unsubscribe.
Take it one software program/site at a time and delete that program from all devices before moving to the next one on your list.
And remember to take one step at a time. Just one step...
